Breck Ray has more than 35 years’ experience in the executive search industry. He was the lead partner in establishing Ray Partners, an executive search boutique focused on providing clients with executive talent that matches their strategic objectives.
Mr. Ray’s search work spans several industries including aerospace and defense, energy, hedge funds, and industrial products. He also works with private equity firms and family offices in locating executives to lead their portfolio companies. Further, Mr. Ray has done many high profile not-for-profit assignments where new leadership and cultural change were sorely needed. Most of Mr. Ray’s search work is at the senior management level where he is actively seeking CEO’s, CFO’s, Division Presidents, or top corporate officers in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or Human Resources.
Prior to forming Ray Partners, Inc., Mr. Ray was the Managing Partner of the Energy, Industrial & Consumer Products practice for Ray & Berndtson, a global executive search firm founded by his father. Breck served as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and chaired its Compensation Committee.
Before entering the search profession, Mr. Ray worked in sales for Xerox Corporation and in commercial lending for Bank of America. He is a business graduate of the University of Arkansas and serves on the boards of The Southwest Exposition & Livestock Show and the Fort Worth Zoological Association. He is a former Director of Worth National Bank which was acquired by the Bank of Oklahoma in 2007.
Tim Bostick is a founding partner in Ray Partners, Inc., and has been in the executive search field for almost 25 years. Ray Partners, Inc., based in Fort Worth, Texas, is a retained executive search boutique focused on providing its clients with executive talent that matches their strategic objectives.
Mr. Bostick conducts senior level searches in the private investment, industrial, consumer, financial services and energy sectors. This includes work for private equity firms, family offices, institutional asset managers, manufacturing, processing, aerospace and defense, consumer packaged goods, exploration and production, oilfield services companies and consumer finance enterprises. His experience ranges from placing chief executive officers, presidents and chief operating officers to placing senior functional leaders in finance, marketing, exploration & production, human resources, information technology, operations, legal and corporate/business development. For private investment firms, he has worked for portfolio companies and firms, placing senior investment and portfolio management professionals to support multiple investment strategies. This diversity of experience and industry knowledge provides breadth to the intra-industry and cross-industry executive solutions he provides to his clients.
Prior to forming Ray Partners, Inc., Mr. Bostick was a principal in the Energy, Industrial & Consumer Practice of Ray & Berndtson where he spent 10 years. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Texas Commerce Bank (now JP Morgan Chase), where he was in the commercial banking group providing credit, investment banking and depository services to corporate and energy clients in the Texas market.

Mark Magruder has 17 years of experience in the retained executive search business. He is a founding partner in Ray Partners, Inc. dating to the firm’s formation in 2002. Since entering the search business with a large global retained executive search firm in 2000, Mark has developed a search practice focused on assisting private equity, family office as well as public clients across functions and industries identify executive leaders. Mark leads the firm’s Energy search practice assisting oilfield services, midstream and E&P clients introduce complementary leadership. Mark’s generalist search experience also includes significant Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Chemicals and Consumer client support.
Prior to entering the executive search business in 2000, Mark led ENSR’s north Texas region from Dallas, Texas. ENSR is an ENR Top 50 full-service environmental engineering firm based in Boston. Mark’s environmental consulting practice included buy and sell-side advisory services to industrial and commercial clients across North America.
Mark is active in his local community serving on numerous board and non-profit volunteer activities. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Baylor University in 1992 and 1994. He resides in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and daughters.
